Fusion: Alternative cross genre rap

RIVER MOVEMENT

River Movement was formed in 2017, as a band with a strong collaborative vision, intent on sharing a message of hope through a genre-blurring fusion of rap and folk as its core. Along with the band’s trade-mark live break out freestyles (mid set), they regularly leave audiences wondering what will happen next. The band’s signature sound has organically evolved and resulted in a truly unique body of work. Hailing from South East Queensland, spanning both the Gold Coast and Brisbane, the band enjoys touring up and down the coast – and to remote regions, and interstate. Over the past few years, River Movement has released a series of singles, leading up to their debut album, ‘Impending Light,’ in 2019; and their second album ‘Immersing Light,’ in 2024. After 6 years and countless gigs, we are just getting started. Join us on the journey as we perform and release new music.

In what now feels like a past life, Zoe had the pleasure of supporting and playing alongside: Matt Corby, Renee Geyer, Tim Finn, Declan O’Rourke, Dragon, Patrick James, Tin Sparrow, Paul Greene, Lucky Wonders, Christopher Coleman, Marlon Williams, Sam Buckingham, Charlie Gradon… Zoe has released 2 EPs, Precipitate and Black Dog. She also won Australian Songwriters Conference (ASC) overall prize (2010) and the 2GO Annual Acoustic Awards (2010) and her proudest feat of all – she is now a full time kick ass mum living on the South Coast learning life the hard way.

JARYD HOFFMAN

May my songs help you to know and love God better. My songs reflect Gods work in my life. Maybe you’ll resonate? I record and produce everything at home. God keeps blessing me with songs. Some to sing at church with others and some to bop along to in the car. I wonder who might be blessed by them.

FOLK/COUNTRY

FERN JOHNSTON

Fern Johnston is a folk / country artist who shares real-life stories through songs of faith, love and encouragement. Fern has performed around the globe encouraging audiences of all ages. Her debut EP ‘Yours’ and 23/24 singles are filled with honest songs about life, motherhood, friendship with God and grace when failing. Her music contains beautiful melodies and instrumentation which speak straight to the hearts of all who will listen. “Fern’s storytelling in song paints musical portraits of the common glories of family life and walking with God. She takes away the veil that commonness imposes, so we can see the wonder of our God given stations in life. Always relatable, she shares encouragement, peace, and the reminder that God never gives up on us, never leaves us, and isn’t quite finished with us yet!” (Cody Norris- Gilder Masters, Nashville TN)

CHRISTIAN POP

AMITY GILMOUR

I am a 23-year-old Christian singer/songwriter from Sydney. I have just started my journey of taking my love for music to the next level. I played my first festival in January at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at Jubilee Cafe. I also have 13 years of experience performing and gigging in my childhood local area of Port Macquarie. I would perform more than ten times yearly before taking a break after school. I have also been recording original works with producer Luke Garfield and am releasing my first official song in April. I have a few other non-official singles from earlier on my Spotify. I am looking to gain more experience in performing at festivals and look forward to hearing from you.

Acoustic Praise and Worship

HOPE RESOUNDS

We are a christian, acoustic, praise and worship artist from Sydney, Australia. We always aim to write songs that are based on real life experiences and Gospel truths that we hope might resonate with people who are going through the same or similar experience or even just need a simple reminder that God is Good even when life might say the opposite. In 2022, Our song ‘Still I Will’ was voted #4 in the top 40 most requested songs on Christian Media Spotlight (USA) end of year countdown. The following year, Our song ‘Every Part of Me’ came in at # 3 and ‘Hope in the Dark’ became the # 1 most requested song of the year among the CMS community. Our music has also been heard and picked up on Christian Media Spotlight Radio Network (USA) , The Aussie Grown Radio Network (AUS) as well as Reds Room Entertainment (USA) where we have performed live on a number of occasions with fellow christian independent artists.

THIRSTY TREE

We are a husband and wife duo (although we use a full band for festivals) – based in the Illawarra, NSW, Australia – writing primarily to share the good news of Jesus through song and well… it makes us happy! Why Thirsty Tree? Well… the book of Psalms in the Bible begins with a beautiful metaphor of a person that is considered blessed, they are ‘like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season’ (Psalm 1:3). They are planted deep in God’s word; they ‘delight in the law of the Lord’ (Psalm 1:2). As Christians, our delight is in Christ, he is the Word (John 1:1), our Light (John 8:12) and our Salvation (Rom 10:9-10). He is the one that sustains us (Col 1:17) and through all the blessings of God come (2 Cor 1:20). As we trust in Him, he gives us his Spirit so that we can endure whatever happens in this life knowing with certainty that God is with us and that one day we will live with him forever. We desire to be like thirsty trees, reaching down deep into God’s Word, singing and writing music in thankfulness for all that God has done in sending his Son to lay his life down for ours. We want others to know this good news too!
